"When Godspell, the musical based on the Gospel according to St. Matthew, first opened in Los Angeles many years ago, two of our close friends had leading roles in the production. They repeated these roles for the 10th anniversary revival of the show. So when our Fountain Hills Community Theater announced that Godspell would be the opening production this fall, we looked forward to seeing it with great anticipation. We loved it. We especially appreciated the fact that the script presenting a number of the parables from St. Mathhew had been updated to reflect life in the 21st century. We were absolutely charmed by Janine Smith's rendition of the beautiful "Day by Day." Afterward I was delighted to be able to tell director Peter J. Hill that his production was every bit as good as the original."

"I'm not much for small talk but I just want you and everyone else in this wonderful organization to know that this has been far and away one of the highlites of Cydneys young life. Thank you and everyone else. Please keep her in mind for future opportunity at F.H.C.T. as she is "hooked."

"Just wanted to give a big THANK YOU for producing such an enjoyable rendition of Oliver. My family and I are seasonal residents of Scottsdale and had the good fortune to experience the July 1st performance. It was our first Fountain Hills Community Theater event, and I can assure you, we'll be back for more. Keep up the great work! I enjoy staying in touch using your informative Web site as well."

"After watching dress rehearsal for the Fountain Hills Youth Theater’s The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, I feel compelled to write this letter. This is more than a play -- it is a wonderful holiday experience. The youths did a great job and the audience laughed and enjoyed every minute. But when it was over, it was not over!! Santa then invites the audience to attend a Winter Wonderland Extravaganza in the theater courtyard. The decorations and creativity that awaits is worth the price of the ticket!!

There are many interactive "holiday" games for the children to play. They even had a wonderful "set" where children could send real e-mails to Santa. Add the Christmas carols, a picture with Santa, prizes and food, and this became a total theater experience. Bruce Usher and Bill Beamish created the outdoor decorations, and they are wonderful. How lucky we are to have dedicated volunteers. I cannot wait for the 18th when I will see it again -- this time with my grandchildren. They will love it. I encourage anyone with children or grandchildren to call the theater and get tickets for this special production."

"After seeing Wind in the Willows and coming back from opening night on Friday, Aug. 26, I can't begin to tell you how impressed I was with the enthusiasm, the energy, the warmth, the humor and the caliber of this production. I am so moved by the exceptional commitment, dedication, leadership and creativity of the directors and the producers and all the volunteers who make this program possible, right here in Fountain Hills.

I think we are extremely blessed that our children and community have such access to these opportunities for growth, development, friendship and public contribution. I personally plan to see it again and have been encouraging everyone I know to attend, especially if they have children or grandchildren. It is such a gift. For me, given the sparse family entertainment fare in the movie theaters these days, it is so refreshing to have such an affordable program right here in town that gives us so much...Thank you, Fountain Hills Community Theater."

"On a recent hot summer night I attended Jazz in the Hills. I had been planning to check it out for some time now, to see what the buzz was about. But recently I discovered that the theater was behind the weekly event and I knew right then I had to go, as the theater has the midas touch. I was glad my penchant for being fashionably late does not apply to shows, for I thought being summer, many people would be escaping the heat and the crowds would be thinner. I was wrong. The concert started right on time, and the room quickly filled. Soon it was standing room only. The music was flowing, the mood easy, the lighting soft. I sipped my martini and tapped my foot, knowing that this was a bargain at a voluntary, tax deductable donation of $5, $10, whatever you want to give. I highly recommend Jazz in the Hills, Friday nights at Appian Way Restaurant, Fountain Hills."

"We have just returned from the Fountain Hills Community Theater where we watched an outstanding production of Jekyll and Hyde, The Musical. I Don't know what we expected, but it exceeded our expectations many times over. Jeffry D. Walker, who plays Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde, is to be commended for his awesome performance. The entire cast must be very proud of themselves. Don't miss this production at the theater. It is wonderful."

"At the Fountain Hills Community Theater Peter J. Hill has done it again. To get a group of actors to turn, twist and glidingly collide while running in and out of rooms without making a mistake takes considerable coordination and skill. This is achieved by a talented troupe of actors with much aplomb.

Vera Datnoff’s zany, colorful costumes and Jeff Blake's ingenious set design deserve much applause; but it is again a combined achievement of both cast and crew that makes this production of A Flea in Her Ear a roaring comical success.

If you have some space this weekend and wish to fill it with laughter go to the Fountain Hills Community Theater. As Preston Sturges once said, "There's something to be said about making people laugh in this cockeyed caravan of a world." He was right and this show does it."

"We went to see The Swing Sisters at the Fountain Hills Community Theater last Saturday and enjoyed it immensely. The show is a revue of music from the '40s and '50s and the cast does a great job. It was fun to sing along because the music was familiar to all of us from that era. We recommend getting to see it before August 3!"
